  • your hosts

Your hosts at Kauri Valley Views are Tim and Jenny.

Tim and Jenny are the third generation to manage their beautiful farm since 1980. Tim's parents are still a part of the farm life, which is a bustling operation focused on beef rearing and finishing.

Tim and Jenny have a deep appreciation for the beautiful native bush and farmland and are excited to share its beauty with others. Despite its secluded feel, the farm is conveniently close to a large city centre—just another added bonus. During the day, Tim is a beef farmer, and Jenny is an accountant for Air New Zealand. With a newborn baby, they are also occupied with their new roles as parents!

The idea of setting up glamping on their farm was inspired by a glamping voucher they received as a wedding gift. The idea sparked, and so they started building the cabin, wanting to share the experience of rural life and showcase the charm of farming with others.

The name "Kauri Valley Views" pays homage to the farm's original name, "Kauri Valley Farm." The farm is home to stunning kauri trees and offers breathtaking views of native forests with kauri trees, visible from the cabin.
